River Otters-Party for the Planet

River Otters are known for being adorable, playful residents of our local waters – but they are also ECOSYSTEM SUPERHEROES! Known as biological indicators, the presence of otters let’s us know that the waters are clean and virtually pollution free. When otters leave a body of water they’ve lived in for a while, it’s a good indication that the water is becoming polluted.

Do your part to make sure otters are found everywhere: recycling plastics, make sure to throw away disposable masks and gloves properly (otter sometimes eat these and it makes them very sick), and think about purchasing a REUSABLE STRAW to keep with you to use in restaurants.
