THREE WEEKENDS OF ROARING HOWL-A-WEEN FUN!

Bring your little ones out to enjoy daytime HOWL-a-ween fun at the zoo! Kids can take fun pics, pick a pumpkin from the patch (while supplies last), do some trick-or-treating and enjoy the zoo all at the same time. All activities FREE with zoo admission (members are always FREE).

WEEKLY VIRTUAL CONTESTS HAPPENING FOR HOWL-A-WEEN!

CONTEST 1: October 12-16: BUILD YOUR OWN HALLOWEEN TRASH MONSTER – build a trash monster at home, and post your picture to the zoo’s FaceBook page with the hashtag #CPZHOWLAWEEN. Staff will vote on the best monsters. Winners will be announced ONLINE during the HOWL-a-ween Weekend. The top three win gift certificates to the Zoo.

CONTEST 2: October 19-23: COSTUME CONTEST – put on your HOWLaween best, take a fun picture of yourself and post your picture to the zoo’s FaceBook page with the hashtag #CPZHOWLAWEEN. Staff will vote on the best costumes. Winners will be announced ONLINE during the HOWL-a-ween Weekend. The top three win gift certificates to the Zoo (separate from the Kids Day Costume Day on 10/24).

CONTEST 3: October 26-30: PUMPKIN CONTEST – post a picture of your carved (NOT PAINTED) pumpkin the zoo’s FaceBook page with the hashtag #CPZHOWLAWEEN. Staff will vote on the best pumpkins in 2 categories – animal and non-animal. Winners will be announced ONLINE during the HOWL-a-ween Weekend. The top three win gift certificates to the Zoo.

HOWL-a-ween Weekends ticket sales (and some FAQ’s)

  • Is this a nighttime event?
    • No – HOWL-a-ween Weekends happen during regular zoo hours: 10AM-4PM (final entry at 3 PM)
  • Can kids wear their costumes?
    • Of course!
  • Will there be trick-or-treating?
    • Yes – there will be limited trick or treating, done in safe, socially distant manner.
  • What will be going on?
    • THI IS NOT OUR REGULAR SPOOKTACULAR! Due to COVID 19 restrictions, we are not running an evening event, not are we able to offer carnival games, face-painting or train rides.
    • There will be several fun seasonal photo stations, trick or treating stations, a pumpkin patch where children can take a pumpkin (while supplies last) and the zoo will be decorated. There are also weekly VIRTUAL contests that anyone can participate in – even if they don’t come to HOWL-a-ween!
  • Is the pumpkin patch free?
    • Yes – children can select a pumpkin and take it home WHILE SUPPLIES LAST
  • Will concessions be open?
    • Yes – concessions will be open with a limited menu and is accepting both cash and debit/credit cards
  • Will the animal be on exhibit?
    • Yes – most of the animals will be on exhibit unless we have to move them indoors/behind the scenes due to weather conditions. The rainforest building and alpaca/goat contact yard will remain closed.
  • Do I have to purchase tickets ahead of time?
    • No. Advance tickets are NOT required for this event.
  • What is the cost of tickets?
    • Tickets for this event are regular entrance fee:
      • ATTLEBORO RESIDENTS: Adult-$7.50/Child-$6.50
      • NON-RESIDENTS: Adult-$9.00/Child-$7.50
  • What if it rains and I cannot come the weekend I planned?
    • Your HOWL-a-ween ticket will be good for the next HOWL-a-ween weekend. If for some reason you are not able to make any of the weekends, your ticket is good for general admission to the zoo through October 2021 – not valid for nighttime special events or Halloween 2021
  • Can I purchase my tickets online?
    • We do not offer online ticket sales
