Are you interested in working in a zoo and need to get some experience?
Capron Park Zoo offers unpaid internships to college students studying animals and animal-related careers. All interns will spend time working in the three major areas of zoo management: Operations/facility maintenence, Animal Care and Education. Internships are 10-12 weeks long. Participants must be able to work 3 days/week, 4 hours/day
AREAS OF INTERN FOCUS AVAILABLE:
- Animal husbandry
- Conservation and/or informal education
- Construction or other vocational skills: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Age 18 +
- Background in animal care, biology, conservation, zoology, education or other conservation/animal related field*
- Secondary skills a plus
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Recent negative TB test
*Capron Park Zoo DOES NOT offer any veterinary experience as part of our internships
